Planet Soup ~ 16 October 2020

I hadn’t planned on posting in this moment, however, I noticed the a few aspects worthy of note and simply had to jot a thought or two given the way things have been in the world of late. I’m going to keep this more as soup than detailing the ingredients of the soup.

We’re coming off a series of solar aspects in which El Sol squared Jupiter, Pluto and now Saturn as well sharing space with an opposition to Mars and Eris. A lot of light got shed in places and on things... if one looks. And we’re in the thick of the approach of Mars in Aries to a square of Jupiter in Capricorn. The pattern now concluding, asks a person to taste the soup of life and critically assess what it lacks or what needs to be enhanced and perfectly enjoyed.

The reality is the Sun did shed bright light on situations and circumstances that are tense and ugly to spare politeness. Here comes Venus with an array of aspects we might assume soothe our woes. Right now, Venus in Virgo, opposes Neptune in Pisces, trines Jupiter in Capricorn and quincunxes Mars in Aries. With this trifecta, perception is king. With a conscious and clear look at the “what” of “it is what it is” opportunities may be spotted. These opportunities require a modification of what action steps one planned to execute. Opportunities that are slightly off the path cannot safely be gathered from the path. Decide to pursue or not. Regardless of the decision made, no second guessing the decision. It’s time to get on with things.

On 21 October from her vantage in Virgo, Venus trines Pluto in Capricorn while the Sun in Libra trines Ceres in Aquarius as she stations and moves direct. Here, the concern is that the normalization of what is unprecedented locks into the category of “Eh, so what?” The antidote is diplomatic and strategic advocacy. Protests in this time, as often is the case with Aquarius in play, become significantly more polarizing. Instead, be the solution. Conjure and create viable remedies that work for the masses. Petition and persist to ensure the voice is heard and the best of the solutions presented are included.

To finish next week, Venus trines Saturn in Capricorn. Will this be a stabilizing trend for the markets? Maybe for a day or two. But guaranteed, until the Eris surprise package of transits that is 2020 concludes, expect volatility to continue.

Venus aspects might be inclined to lull a person into acceptance of conditions that should not be accepted. Sometimes her transits, while allegedly positive regarding relationships and money, can be thick and syrupy. Why? Venus is hot. Her surface is so hot that it feels not worth going outside. Further, her surface gravity packs extreme density, rendering a sense of being under an immobilizing compression squeeze. Pressure does not go away unless vented, observes the tea pot. Venus’ atmosphere is toxic and corrosive - choking and rusting to anything without proper protection. Finally, there’s a thick, shielding blanket of clouds above the planet that limits visibility. Until you’re actually on the surface of Venus, it’s not possible to perceive the planet and grok her environmental implications.

So when does the 2020 Eris surprise package conclude? Jupiter in Capricorn squares Eris in Aries on 17 November, on the virtual heels of Jupiter matching wits with Pluto at the same degree of Capricorn on 12 November. What happens here is “soup.” All the transiting ingredients and subtle galactic influences of this year served as foreshadowing for this moment. It’s soup. It’s time to digest what this year has been. And following that digestion, repose, reflection and refocusing serve ones purposes. Slightly more than a month from this conclusion, Jupiter and Saturn align in Aquarius.

On 12 December Pluto in Capricorn squares off with Eris in Aries. This is the final push to ensure that there's time to tidy up details, disinfect the space, purify auras and verify that those heading out the door are heading out the door before the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction. These two dance again in September and October of 2021 when they complete these squares once and for all. Should these aspects be perceived as more of what we've endured? No. It's a bit like looking in the freezer and seeing some frozen soup. Thaw it and heat it up. As you enjoy this forgotten meal consider, these last two squares are “never forget” aspects... never forget what 2020 was. Take 2020's lessons and indelibly etch them into the collective consciousness.

But back to the near future... on the solstice next, Jupiter and Saturn do their dance in Aquarius and all the optimism that should go with that transit needs to be felt by the time that transit aligns. Beyond that conjunction, there’s a new year... a better damn year... right around the corner.

More soon!
